Reception Memorial Day Weekend, May 27th & 28th, 10-6

Greetings! It's that time of year again when we welcome another beautiful season in Door County! Please stop by and say hello if you're in the neighborhood.

Our spring reception features new photography by Lucas and Heather Frykman, woodcarvings by David Frykman, and pottery by Steve Jorgenson. A slideshow (Door County: Seasons 2) of Door County images will be on display and available for purchase on a USB drive to be displayed on a smart TV or other device.

Lucas and Heather will present a slideshow and talk on their tours of the National Parks in the American Southwest over the past few years. The talk will begin at 4:30, both days.

We're open 10-5, every day now. We look forward to seeing you this weekend or sometime this year!

Reception Memorial Day Weekend

We would like to invite the Door community and all visitors to our Spring Open House on Saturday and Sunday, May 28 and 29, to celebrate the start of our 12th season (9th in Sister Bay.)

Heather and Luke Frykman will be around to present, on their big-screen TV, a new slideshow of Door County images, available for sale on a thumb drive, that can be played on a home TV or computer. Then from 3-5 pm a slideshow of images from their recent photo trips to the American Southwest will be on display.

David Frykman has taken a sabbatical from carving and has been focused instead on painting, drawing from the history and natural wonders of Door County. His new collection of oil paintings include antique tractors and farm equipment, cows, as well as landscapes and shore scenes. He even did some portraits that some of you might recognize.

For pottery collectors, a lot of new pots by Steve Jorgenson will be arriving at the gallery for the weekend.

As always, the artists will be around to chat, refreshments will be available, and a drawing will be held for a photograph or carving. The gallery will be open daily 10-5. For more information, contact the gallery at (920) 854-7351.

10th Anniversary/Book Signing Reception

Please join us Sat and Sun, May 23 and 24, from 10-5, for our 10th anniversary and book signing celebration!

Luke and Heather photograph St. Martin Island for Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy announces it has protected St. Martin Island in Upper Michigan. The conservancy acquired the land from the Fred Luber family, who asked Luke and Heather to photograph the island to help showcase the land they are protecting. The island provides critical stopover habitat for birds that migrate through the Great Lakes. To read more visit
